The estates are located on 2350 McGregor Blvd. The property was initially purchased by Thomas Edison in 1885 for $2,750.

Thomas Edison and Henry Ford spent their winters in Fort Myers. Edison's winter home, Seminole Lodge, was built on the property, and Ford purchased the property next door, The Mangoes, in 1916. The estates showcase the lives and legacies of these two American icons.

The Edison and Ford Winter Estates provide a unique opportunity to explore the lives of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. The estates include a 15,000 square foot museum and twenty acres of historic gardens. The laboratory where Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Harvey Firestone worked is also part of the estates.
